Introducing, MinorCo [PMP #301]

It’s quite fitting that as we close out on 300 episodes of the Paul Minors Podcast I get to make a very exciting announcement; And possibly one of the biggest changes to my business since I began in 2015.

Today I’d like to introduce you to the new brand behind my consulting company, MinorCo.

Why the change?

Until now, our Asana, Pipedrive and Zapier consulting have all lived under the PaulMinors.com website and brand. This was suitable in the beginning; when I started the business I was the person clients dealt with from the time they booked their first introductory call with me to the consulting and team training sessions. I did it all.

Over the last few years, I’ve grown the team to help remove myself as the bottleneck and to free up my time so I can focus on other areas of the business. In doing so, it didn’t feel right to continue operating under the PaulMinors.com brand and website.

I settled on the name MinorCo which I like for a few reasons:

  • The ‘Minor’ element of it maintains a link to our origin, me, Paul Minors. But the brand can stand alone, without me if needed.
  • I also like that we’re a ‘Minor’ or small company. So, MinorCo.
  • The domain itself was available (for a decent fee) and felt short and sweet.

By removing myself as the main focus of the brand, I believe I can lay the foundations for more growth and scalability in the future.

And look, I’ll be honest, I don’t know how long I’m going to run this company. I enjoy my work right now and if I can continue to free up my time, I don’t see any reason to sell the business if I don’t need to. But I prefer to have options and rebranding away from PaulMinors.com will enable this in the future.

Logo Design

Our new logo was designed by our very own, Lindsay Amoroso. Lindsay is a Swiss army knife of talent. Not only is she one of my longest-standing Asana and Pipedrive consultants. She’s also a graphic designer.

Lindsay put together our logo which she describes as:

“The logo for MinorCo. is clean, modern, and friendly. The clean lines and soft rounded corners convey a sense of professionalism while maintaining a softer, less corporate look. The incorporation of the tickmark within the ‘M’ not only adds a visually striking element but also cleverly signifies completing tasks, achieving goals, and getting things done—being productive—all aspects we love and assist our clients with.”

What about PaulMinors.com?

I’m going to keep my website, PaulMinors.com. This is where my podcast will remain and it’s where I’ll share my more generic productivity-related content. My more specific Asana and Pipedrive content and videos will now live on the MinorCo website instead.

PaulMinors.com is also where I’ll keep some of my other digital products like my ebook, Guidelines. My courses, the Personal Productivity Toolkit and How to Become a Virtual Consultant.

Besides that, not a lot else has changed. We’re the same team, offering the same quality service that we always have. Now with a new look and email addresses. You can now reach me at [email protected] (as well as [email protected]).
