In this video, I explain the process I went through to migrate from Mailchimp to ConvertKit. It was a big process, so if you need extra help, I recommend ConvertKit's migration service.
My biggest tip is to plan the migration before you do anything:
- Map out the forms you need to re-create in ConvertKit.
- Map out how Mailchimp lists, groups and tags will translate over to ConvertKit.
- Re-build all email automation and forms in ConvertKit.
- Test and get everything working. Make sure each form does what it's supposed to do.
- Update the forms on your website so new subscribers are added to ConvertKit.
- Then, move all your old subscribers across to the new system.
