So I'm quickly falling in love with all things Bluelounge. I recently purchased the Bluelounge iPad Sling and Kicks after finally deciding to ditch my old Belkin Snap Shield. Unfortunately the shield had cracked at the corners and I was getting bored of the slight bulk that it added to the iPads design (yeah, pretty fussy I know).
Kicks are a simple rubber strip that you apply to the back of your iPad and act as a means of lifting the iPad off of surfaces to protect the back. At first I was concerned that the Kicks wouldn't offer enough protection for my iPad, and they don't. Having said that, I'm very careful with how I treat and use my devices; to the extent that when I put my iPad down I consciously act to make sure it doesn't come into contact with the surface too hard. I don't take the iPad into any extreme environments, so for use around the home and office, the Kicks allow you to put your iPad down without scratching the aluminium back and still appreciate it's minimalistic design. Because the Kicks are the first thing that contacts the tabletop, your iPad will never touch the table, leaving you to enjoy the iPads naked design, just as Apple intended.
Overall I'm very impressed with the Bluelounge Kicks and iPad Sling. I'm enjoying the iPads design a lot more and actually get more use out of it as I can take it on the go. I highly recommend both products and they can be found at Mighty Ape for a modest price (Kicks, iPad Sling).
